If you have a remarkable story that you would like to see included in Dr. Shall's forthcoming book, "True White Coat Confessions: Shocking Actual Stories from the Underbelly of the Medical Profession," we invite you to submit it for consideration. Craft your story with care, ensuring it is approximately 10 pages. This length allows for sufficient depth and detail to truly capture the essence of your experience. Whether it’s a miraculous recovery, a challenging diagnosis, a heart-wrenching loss, an exceptional act of kindness, a poorly handled case resulting in disaster, or an account of an unscrupulous provider whose practice ultimately ended, we welcome stories from various perspectives within the healthcare field.
While preparing your story, please ensure that your story is your own and that it hasn’t been shared or published elsewhere. Also verify that you are not violating the rights or privacy of any person including other healthcare professionals and patients, and that you aren’t misusing anyone else’s intellectual property.
Before submitting your story, you will be required to sign an affidavit confirming that your account is as factual as possible, based on your best recollection and knowledge. Authenticity and accuracy are vital to maintain the integrity of the book and honor the trust of readers.
Once your story is ready, please proceed to the submission form. There, you will upload your document securely. Provide all the necessary details as requested in the form to ensure a smooth review process.
After your submission, our dedicated editorial team will carefully review your story. Submission Guidelines
By submitting any writings, manuscripts, ideas or other materials (collectively, the "Submission") to True White Coat Confessions LLC (the “Company”) you understand and agree that (a) the Company is under no obligation whatsoever to review, consider, publish, develop, produce, sell or otherwise use or commercialize the Submission; (b) the Company has no obligation to return or account to you for any Submissions you submit; (c) the Company is not obligated to provide you with any compensation or credit (verbal or written) for the Submission; (d) your Submission is not being submitted in confidence and you are not acting on behalf of the Company in connection with the Submission; (e) you are voluntarily making this Submission with full knowledge of the terms of these Submission Guidelines; (f) you have not agreed to these Submission Guidelines in reliance on any representation or promise, whether written or oral;(g) you transfer to the Company all right, title and interest in and to your Submission, including but not limited to all intellectual property and proprietary rights; (h) the Submission is factual to the best of your knowledge; (i) if the Company, in its sole discretion, selects your Submission for publication, you will be required to execute a formal agreement with the Company that contains the terms and conditions related to the inclusion of your Submission in the publication, including, but not limited to the terms relating to the compensation that you may receive if the work containing your Submission is published; and (j) these Submission Guidelines are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
You further represent and warrant to the Company that (a) you are of legal age to enter into and agree to these Submission Guidelines; (b) you have read, understand, are bound by and shall follow these Submission Guidelines; (c) you are the sole author of the Submission; (d) the Submission is your original creation and is not in the public domain; (e) you have the right to submit the Submission; (f) there are no adverse claims in or to the Submission; (g) the Submission does not violate the rights of privacy of any person; (h) the Submission does not violate, infringe or misappropriate any intellectual property or proprietary right of any third party; and (i) the Submission is not otherwise unlawful.
By making your Submission, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Submission Guidelines. If you do not agree to be bound, you must not make a Submission.
